Best Baking Tools for Kids Helping in the Kitchen
ByKelsey WheelerBaking with kids is equal parts sweet and chaotic. There is flour on the counter, eggshells in places they should not be, and at least one moment where you question why you thought this was a good idea. But over time, I’ve learned that having the right tools makes all the difference. Not just for…

The Baking Tools I Use Every Single Week
ByKelsey WheelerBaking Essentials I Use Every Week I don’t consider myself a minimalist baker, but I am a practical one. I bake often. Sometimes it’s with kids climbing onto stools beside me, sometimes it’s late at night when the kitchen is finally quiet. Over time, I’ve learned which baking tools actually earn their place. These aren’t…

Lemon Poppyseed Sugar Roll Recipe
ByKelsey WheelerThere are some recipes you make once, enjoy, and move on from. And then there are the ones that quietly become part of your life. The ones you think about days later. The ones people text you about. The ones that somehow feel both special occasion-worthy and absolutely necessary on a random weekend morning. These…

14 Thoughtful Gifts for People Who Love to Bake
ByKelsey WheelerBuying gifts for people who love to bake can feel surprisingly high-stakes. Bakers tend to be particular. They have strong opinions about tools, preferences about brands, and very specific routines in the kitchen. That’s why I usually avoid gifting anything overly technical. A little about me

Hey, I'm Kelsey.
Home cook, self-appointed taste tester, and firm believer that the best recipes are the ones worth making twice. Sometimes three times. Sometimes until your family begs you to stop.
This is where I share the food I actually make. The recipes that get requested at every gathering, the bakes that disappear before they've fully cooled, and the occasional kitchen disaster that I will absolutely tell you about.
You'll find classic recipes here alongside gluten-free options that actually taste like the real thing, because why should anyone have to eat a sad version of a brownie? Most things come in both, you pick your adventure.
Fair warning: my kids show up in this kitchen sometimes. They are enthusiastic helpers. They will be very clear in what is YUM and what is YUCK.
If you're here for really good food, a little chaos, and recipes you'll actually want to save, you've come to the right place! ✨
